Word maps

Books, poetry and literature have long shaped Jen's songwriting. Drawn to the rhythm and resonance of language, she finds inspiration in stories that illuminate place, memory and the human experience, where words become maps leading songs to unexpected destinations.

● Suvome

Archive Fever

Lost for 24 years and now finally released, Archive Fever is an album by Suvome featuring remix artists from Australia, Europe and the United States. To tell the story behind the project, we created Now Was Forever—a documentary tracing the band's journey from its emergence in the late 1990s, blending analogue experimentation, electronic production and cinematic songwriting.

● Project

Venting Machine

Jen is currently working on a rough and distinctly un-slick home recording project with a working title ‘Venting Machine’ – a collaboration with fellow singer-songwriter and friend Rosie Roberts (Axe & The Ivory): short stories flipped into even shorter songs casting their sharp eyes over the State Of Things, resulting in playful, sarcastic and hilarious songs that dig into the truth of their world: the embarrassing, the annoying and the brutally honest. Debut release coming soon.

● Story Making

Song life

Alongside her own songwriting, Jen has spent more than a decade collaborating with children to create original songs that celebrate curiosity, imagination and belonging. Working with kindergartens, schools, libraries, festivals and Carclew—and through an ongoing partnership with Eden Hills Kindergarten—she has co-written more than 70 songs inspired by children's ideas about Country, identity, home, dinosaurs and the everyday wonders of their world.
